Ticket ID: SLM-17208
Summary: Function Merge

Description: We are enhancing the Instrumented Systems Module by streamlining the classification of function types. Currently, functions such as SIF, BPCS, Alarm, Interlock, IPF, HIPS, and FG&F are managed as separate object types. In the upcoming update, these will be consolidated into a single, unified object type that can be flexibly classified as any of the aforementioned function types. This backend optimization will maintain the familiar user experience, with no changes to how functions are added in the Instrumented Systems Module or displayed in the object tree, though minor adjustments may be required when importing function data.

How These Changes Benefit You

These enhancements lay a robust foundation for future SLM capabilities, enabling seamless transitions between function types—such as upgrading Interlocks or IPFs to SIFs, downgrading SIFs to Interlocks or IPFs, or reclassifying any function type—without compromising the integrity of associated data. Additionally, the HIPS function type will have all the same functionality, views, and reports as the SIF function type. This increased flexibility will empower you to adapt SLM to your evolving needs while maintaining compliance with IEC 61511.

Ticket ID: SLM-17200
Summary: WebView Session Hardening + generic async loading in WebView mode

Description: We have enhanced WebView security and performance by replacing shared-cookie authentication with short-lived signed tokens and enabling reports and grids to load in the background. These improvements make WebViews significantly more secure and substantially faster without requiring changes to existing embed URLs or disrupting current implementations.

Additional enhancements include configurable link expiration, protection against session sharing and URL tampering, enforced read-only access for external users, preservation of internal user sessions, improved error handling, and dramatically reduced load times—from as much as 49 seconds to near-instant rendering.
